Our neighborhood sits in the heart of a district of so much need in downtown Portland. Poverty, mental illness, and drug use are prevalent and readily visible each and every day. The organizations that are present and assisting those in need do the best that can be done when it comes to providing street essentials necessary for living, but it isn't enough. The need is just so great and the resources available are limited. 

Here at St. Andre Bessette Catholic Church the Street Essentials ministry attempts to meet the needs of those in our local community with clothing, shoes, jackets, blankets, sleeping bags, backpacks, and hygiene kits. We regularly are out of of many of these items and so the need to turn to YOU for help in giving us the ability to provide these items to those living on the margins of society. Just...
